Forgery is an offence under section 368 of the Criminal Code. If convicted, you can face imprisonment for up to ten years. If you are not a Canadian citizen, you may also be deported. These charges can be complicated and are often laid in connection with the making of government documents, mortgage and credit applications, income tax returns, or financial statements.
